Mr. Fujimori Hiroaki received an excellent speaker award in the Japan Society of Civil Engineering 2016 Annual Meeting held at Tohoku University on September 7 – 9th, 2016.

The title of his presentation was “Study on the grasp of the water distribution due to the unsaturated seepage of soil by using MRI”. The study suggests that complicated unsaturated seepage behavior can be easily visualized, and these finding will lead to the elucidation of relevance of slope collapse and the piping phenomenon with the rainfall.

He said “It is my great honor to receive such a big award. I truly appreciate the cooperation from the members in the lab and the stuff of faculty of medicine for this research.”
