Mr. Aizawa (M1, Applied Chemistry Course, Wada laboratory) awarded a Research Encouragement Award at the 37th Electronics Division Meeting of the Ceramics Society of Japan (12-13 October 2017). Mr. Aizawa reported that piezoelectric properties were improved due to suppress volatilization of bismuth by using large-size particles and employing a spark plasma sintering method, which can sinter ceramics at a lower temperature and within a shorter time. A further development can be expected by more precise defect control.
